Join the Alexandria Youth Orchestra Friday, February 27 at Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center for the Rapides String Festival!  The festival starts at 6 PM, and will feature the best student string musicians in Rapides Parish.  Tickets to this concert are only $5.00 per person!  So, please plan to join us for this great concert featuring talented young musicians in this acoustically-superb venue.

The Alexandria Youth Orchestra, founded and directed by John De Chiaro, is a string ensemble comprised of over 25 string students from throughout Rapides Parish.  The highlight of the many performances presented by the orchestra was a concert at Carnegie Hall in December of 2013 and a concert at West Point Military Academy that same day in New York.  The orchestra has participated and won first place honors in several National Orchestra Competitions, and has also performed the National Anthem for the NBA Basketball team The Pelicans.
