Thursday, February 26, the Arts Council of Central Louisiana welcomes the resident artists of the Shreveport Opera back to Alexandria for another great evening of opera arias and Broadway show tunes at the beautiful Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center.  This year’s cast includes soprano Sarah Bauer, mezzo-soprano Gillian Lynn Cotter, tenor Jonathan Riesen, baritone Ryan Bradford, and pianist Michael Gaertner.  Their program will begin at 7:00 PM.

The Shreveport Opera made their first trip to Alexandria in October 2013 when they presented an excellent performance at Coughlin-Saunders, and you should expect nothing less this time.  Like last year’s resident artists, the week before also saw the troupe entertaining students across eight Alexandria schools.  If your school is interested in hosting the Shreveport Opera this year, please contact David Melancon with the Central Louisiana Community Foundation at 318 445 7702.
