Live in Alexandria!  Join Red River Radio and the Arts Council of Central Louisiana for Performance Today with Fred Child.  Performance Today is America’s most popular classical music radio program and a winner of the 2014 Gabriel Award for artistic achievement.  This nationally-broadcast radio program is heard on nearly 300 public radio stations, reaching nearly 1.4 million listeners every week.  Host Fred Child and his crew will be making their only appearance in Louisiana on October 3 in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Red River Radio.

Watch and listen as Fred Child tapes his beloved radio show, featuring live musical performances by musicians from across the region.  Between performances, Child will discuss with the musicians their art and inspiration.  Audience will also have the chance for insight into how this radio program is taped and produced.

Do not miss this “once in a lifetime” event to be held Saturday, October 3 at Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center, the jewel of the downtown Alexandria Cultural District.  Performance begins at 7:30 PM.  Purchasers of Patron Level tickets are invited to the special Patron Meet and Greet Party beginning at 6 PM and featuring wine and hors d’oeuvres.  Funded in part by the Central Louisiana Community Foundation, Louisiana Division of the Arts, and National Endowment for the Arts.
