Louisiana International Piano Competition – First Round, Day 2

Join the Louisiana International Piano Competition for its exciting first round on both Tuesday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 21.  In this round, competitors are required to play a 30-minute program consisting of: 1) any prelude and fugue from either book of The Well-Tempered Clavier by J. S. Bach; 2) any one of Chopin’s etudes from either his Op. 10 or Op. 25 sets; 3) any etude by Liszt, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, or Scriabin; 4) and any other pieces they wish to include.  Performances will take place at Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center.  On Wednesday, the first session will begin at 10:00 AM and others will follow throughout the day until approximately 5:30 PM.  Semifinalists will be announced following Wednesday’s last session.
